Known Engineering Deficiencies Allowed to Continue…

This is a map of the roads that were in a proposal to increase speeds just over 4 years ago.

Yet 4+ years later, none of these have been acted on or corrected.

These were based on the appropriate speed per the 85 percentile which the city claims it uses to set speed limits.

Safe speed limits are known to have the lowest incidents of collisions, injuries and deaths.  They promote efficient flow of traffic, but for unknown reasons, these remain in contradiction to sound traffic engineering standards.  In many of these places, proudent speed limits have been replaces with enforcement.  What is the motivation?
